Baseball and Softball Outfield Wall Padding

Outfield walls are one of the most common collision points on a baseball or softball field. Players tracking fly balls at full speed need reliable baseball outfield wall padding between them and solid concrete, wood, or chain-link fencing. CoverSports stadium padding absorbs impact energy, giving outfielders the confidence to play aggressively along the warning track.

Our baseball wall padding is available in 2", 3", and 4" thicknesses, each wrapped in 18 oz. PVC-coated polyester that resists rot, mildew, and UV degradation. A 0.75" AdvanTech enhanced wood backing provides rigid structural support that outperforms standard OSB and plywood, while bottom moisture vents allow condensation to escape and prevent mold buildup from the inside out. For chain-link outfield fences, pads attach with bolt-through stainless steel washers. For solid outfield walls made of concrete, brick, or wood, our Z-clip mounting system lets you hang and remove pads.

Meeting NCAA Padding Requirements

Starting in 2027, NCAA Rule 2.15 requires all baseball and softball venues to have padded walls, rails, and fences in areas where player contact is possible. This regulation affects hundreds of collegiate programs that currently have unpadded or partially padded outfield walls and perimeter fencing.
